hands holding a yellow balloon with smiley on to invite you to Bring Joy to Another

Join Us to Bring Joy to Others

Do you enjoy to bring joy to another? Do you enjoy singing? How about dancing? As I share briefly in my about page, I love to sing, I love to dance to. The video that follows is the type that will get you up to sing along and do some dancing to. However, more than the dancing and singing, the words have such a beautiful message. Let’s watch, listen and follow their lead.

Bring Joy to Another

Take a moment to listen to the words. I have pulled out a few of them here, not all but a few that beg to be repeated.

“Take a look around to focus on another,
got take to be opportunity to be there for a brother”

“I am here for you my friend.”

“What about by volunteering?”

“If there’s a will then we can find a way, and there’s no time like now!”

“When someone else is falling, get in and do some lifting”

Such beautiful words. I ask you to listen to them and consider what you can do to help another. What can you do to bring joy to your brother, or your sister?

I know what it is like from both sides. I first got involved in volunteering as a mere 8 year old after moving countries so that my mother could have some needed surgery. Being on the side of giving and helping others became ingrained into who I am. After my father died tragically, my response again was to go out and volunteer. Though the first time was in an organization for the disabled, this time I volunteered in the local hospital.

I know what it is like to go through trials and struggles. I know what it is like to lose a parent, grandparent or other close relative. I love to combine my G-d given talents to increase beauty, inspiration and kindness. There is something very, very special about bringing joy to others. Helping another to smile. Giving to another, helping out your brother. If you look around you, it’s clear that the world needs more kindness.

As Benny Friedman sings, “where there is a will then we can find a way.”

I have the will and have already helped countless others both through my clinical work as an occupational therapist and through the service we are developing to empower widows and orphans.

My work to help widows and orphans is in the merit of my late father, who was born an orphan and who died when I was still at school. The experience has given me insight into the needs of widows and orphans. So I extend the invitation to you. I have the will to develop a centre and a service to make a meaningful difference. Aside from my personal experience, this is a Mitzvah mentioned several times in Tanach, both the Chumash (Bible) and in other writings.

I invite you to become a member of this site. Join us in developing a community committed to increasing goodness, kindness and joy in the world. We have a number of levels.
