A father found my husband’s Torah classes through YouTube. Imagine that!?
He wanted something different for his sons — learning that would truly engage them, inspire them, and make Torah come alive. After watching the channel, he contacted my husband and arranged weekly online learning for 3 of his 8 children.
The boys loved it so much that the learning increased from once a week to twice a week.
This wasn’t just a father looking out for a teacher for his boys? The father had a serious illness and was preparing the kind of learning he wanted them to receive while he was still able to. Before he passed away, the father spoke to my husband about his hopes and goals for his sons’ Torah growth.
After his passing, the learning continued for many months. Recently, their mother shared that she simply can no longer afford the lessons. She can contribute only a token amount — for all three boys together.
We understand her situation completely, and we also understand how important it is for these boys not to lose this connection to Torah, especially after losing their father.
The family lives far from a Jewish community and the children are home schooled, so these online lessons are not just “extra learning.” They are a lifeline of Torah connection, consistency, mentorship, and continuity with their father’s wishes.
One area the boys are learning is Halachah — practical Torah learning they can apply in daily life. Helping them continue learning is not only a merit for their late father, but something that can bring enormous happiness and comfort to their mother as she sees her sons growing, learning, and bringing Torah values into their home.
We are looking for sponsors who would like to help continue these boys’ learning.
Even partial sponsorship would make a real difference.
If anyone would like more information or would like to help sponsor Torah learning for these boys — or for other students in difficult financial situations — please feel free to message me privately.
Thank you.
